Your Partner in Education

Hello!

I am Samantha, a Licensed School Psychologist in Massachusetts dedicated to supporting elementary and secondary-aged students with a wide range of learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and executive functioning needs.

While I have formally practiced as a licensed school psychologist for three years, my passion for supporting individual growth spans over a decade. My early foundational experiences working with diverse learners as a paraprofessional, teacher, and caregiver deeply shaped my clinical practice, giving me a grounded 360-degree perspective on child development.

I founded The Learning Compass because I know firsthand how overwhelming the special education process can be. Navigating complex school systems, decoding psychoeducational evaluations, and managing diverse needs at home can leave families feeling exhausted and defeated. My mission is to bridge the gap between school and home services by providing individualized, collaborative guidance that makes the educational journey feel manageable and empowering.

I believe that a student's challenges in learning, organization, or behavior never define their potential. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I look at the whole child. By understanding how cognitive, academic, and social-emotional factors uniquely intersect for your student, we can chart a clear course forward. My ultimate goal is to help your child build practical skills, independence, and confidence, while ensuring you feel informed and supported every step of the way.

My Approach:

Individualized- No two students learn exactly the same way. Support is tailored to your child’s individual strengths and needs

Strengths-Based- The goal isn’t to “fix” a child. It’s to recognize their strengths while developing strategies for areas that feel challenging

Practical- Students learn strategies they can actually use at school and at home

Collaborative- When appropriate, support includes helping parents better understand how they can reinforce strategies outside of sessions to support generalization
